Tae Kwon Do

Students will experience the effectiveness that comes from the development of body flexibility and fluid movements combined with pure strength.  Students gain ultimate use of their body’s facilities through intensive physical and mental training.  Tae Kwon Do has no equal in either power or technique.   Students learn the proper starting position, execution, rotation, direction and ending position to help them develop high quality techniques that include both offensive and defensive techniques.  To achieve excellent kicking technique, movements of the foot must be combined with proper body posture.  We focus on drills to master offensive and defensive techniques in preparation for the intermediate and eventually the advanced level of true sparring.  The ultimate stage is the true sparring, the reflexive response against unexpected or unplanned attack, which is an important part of tournaments where students exhibit their skills in a safe, controlled competitive environment against multiple opponents.
